Hard Work Pays Off- Kasuwell

Who is Kasuwell ?

Photo of Kasuwell

Latest tracks by kasuwell

Interview:

BC: How did you get started?
Kasuwell: I've always loved music. I started off in school actually writing poems and a teacher told me I was pretty good. After that, I started writing with some friends around the way, but I never took it seriously; my parents were very old school, they only wanted me to further my education.

BC: What projects are you working on?
Kasuwell: Right now Im working on my second mixtape; HWPO(Hard Work Pays Off) 2, and my First Album; Im A Brand

Isaiah “Kasuwell” Harris was born in the city of Miami, Fl. and raised in the small city of Albany, Ga. by his single mother. At the age of 14 Isaiah, his mother, and younger brother Micheal relocated to Miami, Fl. Kasuwell was first told of his writing talent by his 3rd grade teacher when he won a small local poetry writing contest. Kasuwell used music to escape the harsh realities and experiences he endured on the mean streets of Miami. His motto is, “It’s not where I’m at, It’s where I’m going”. Since Kasuwell grew up liking all kinds of music from around the world, he incorporated pieces from his favorite artists into his own style which consists of a mixture of other styles. Each song and verse has specific meaning or relates to one of his favorite artists. The focus of Kasuwell's music is not to portray how tough he is, but rather who inspired him. When Kasuwell was 16 he was taken under the wings of Nene Montes and was thought to be a former associate of George Clinton. At this time Kasuwell worked with several artists including his friend Antonio Rayito (MDO group formerly of Ricky Martin), Gary Collins (former Slip-N-Slide Producer), and Kyle Wright (Nephew of Soul singer Betty Wright). “I can work with anyone”, he says. “I’ll rap to pretty much anything. You name it, I can do it.” His performances include several venues throughout Miami opening for major acts in the music industry.

BC: When you meet someone for the first time and you do not like them what would you normally do?
Kasuwell: I'm the quiet type so I'd just not pay attention to them .

BC: You know the ladies wanna know Are you single, and what’s the highest priority for you when considering a partner – good looks, intelligence, sense of humor, or something else?
Kasuwell: I'm single as we speak, and I love a girl with intelligence. I want to lie so bad and say that's the first priority, but I won't; I must have nice shape, then goal oriented, and I like driven women.

BC: How old were you when you had your first proper date and did you kiss them?
Kasuwell: I was 14 that just so happened to be the worst date of my life!

BC: What's your highest priority in life??
Kasuwell: I want to be a great father and change my family values.

BC: If you could choose to have dinner with 5 people (real of fictional) who would you invite?
Kasuwell: Russel Simmons, Bill Gates, Martlin Luther King, Mark Cuban, Robert Craft.

BC:What’s the most funniest experience you have had in your entire life?
Kasuwell: There was a time I was at a open mic show in my city, and this group was preparing to take the stage; the whole time he was in the crowd ragging on the other acts. Like "dude sucks, and blah blah." Finally him and his boys hit the stage, first take- he forgets the words to the hook and screams at the dj to bring it back, second take- he slips and falls on stage.. karma at its finest.

BC: If a genie granted you 3 wishes, what would you ask for?
Kasuwell: I'd ask for my dad to come back to the world, I'd wish for alot of things of value, I wouldn't say necessarily dollars cause pretty soon there going to be worthless but maybe Gold or Land, and I'd wish for a companion to live life with who balances me out.

BC: Tell me five things about YOU?
Kasuwell: I like things Organized, I'm a constant Planner, I believe in dressing for the part, I like to look people in the eyes it  say Im not hiding anything, Button up or Polo where ever I go.
